Jim Riley from the band Rascal Flatts rocks the Encore! Theatre

Rascal Flatts was in town February 27 and before the concert that night their drummer Jim Riley stopped by the Encore! Theatre and got in some practice as well as some of the lucky capacity crowd who got pulled on stage to demonstrate some of Riley’s drum techniques and methods right along side of the multi-platinum band leader. He went over the basics of drumming as well as some advanced methodologies for the set and covered everything from fills and solos to drum tuning. An instant crowd favorite and one of ours as well, we look forward to having him back once again to rock the Encore! Theatre in the near future.

Laurence Juber returns to the Encore! Theatre

Former lead guitarist with Paul McCartney & Wings, Laurence Juber, made a return visit to Henri's Music in Green Bay. The last time he was here, Laurence was so impressed with the intimate feel of our Encore! Theatre, he called us and asked to come back. "Henri's Encore! Theatre is like a jazz club without the smoke", said Juber. Over 120 guests listened to his phenomenal playing abilities. Using his often mentioned DAGGAD tuning style, Laurence is able to play lead, rhythm, and bass lines all at the same time on his signature custom Martin acoustic. You have to see and hear it, and still won't believe it. During a local radio interview, the announcer commented on his upcoming "clinic" at Henri's Music. Laurence jumped in without hesitation and said, "I prefer to call it a mini-concert, where guests can get up close and personal and ask questions". And the amazed audience had plenty of questions the night of the concert. His jaw-dropping performance included a modernized version of "Spoonful of Sugar" from the movie "Mary Poppins" from his new CD of Disney songs. In between renditions, he mentioned a recent airplane flight in which he watched the movie, "Hotel for Dogs" - he thought it would be a good idea to hear the music, since he performed the original soundtrack! Two days earlier, Laurence did a recording session with Barry Manilow. He is said to be one of the top five guitarists in the entire world. "Thanks Laurence". We look forward to hosting you yet again at Henri's Encore! Theatre.
