Guitar Instructor: Tony Warpinski
Green Bay

Tony has been playing guitar for 13 years, and studying guitar seriously for 8 years.  He is well versed in a number of styles, ranging from rock, to blues, to jazz. Tony is currently studying music at UWGB and has been a private student of Bob Balsley for 6 years.

His teaching style places an emphasis on versatility, stressing the importance of being comfortable playing guitar with anyone, regardless of their style or background.

Guitar Instructor: Jerry Pansier

Jerry teaches a wide variety of music styles from beginner to advanced. His unique style of teaching holds everyone's interest and makes it fun and easy to learn to play the guitar, steel guitar, bass guitar and dobro.

Jerry accepts students from age 8 to 80.

Jerry has been a professional musician for the past 40 years and has taught all styles of music. He has performed in some of the most successful band in Wisconsin before moving to Branson, Missouri. His worldwide tours included those with Johnny Lee, Moe Bandy, Mickey Gilley, and Doug Kershaw.

Jerry recently moved back to Green Bay to be closer to his friends and family and is now here at Henri's Music teaching young and old to play music - an art that will last a lifetime!

Guitar Instructor: Darin DeKeyser

Playing guitar for over 20 years, Darin currently plays with the 3-piece variety rock band Gemini Road. He has also performed with bands Section D and Rockstreet.

Darin has his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from UW - Green Bay.

Teaching most styles of acoustic and electric guitar, Darin accepts students ages 8 and up and specializes in beginning students.

Guitar Instructor: Tom Naber

Tom has been playing for over 46 years. Currently playing as a single acoustic performer, Tom has also played with Charisma and the Marlin Zimmerman Orchestra.

Tom is also a performer and student of American Folk Music, specializing in Folklore of the Railroads and Rivers and Civil War music.

Tom studied at Holy Cross Junior College in South Bend, Indiana as well as at Marquette University in Milwaukee.

Tom teaches acoustic guitar specializing in flat picking, Carter-style flat picking, finger-style/country-blues, Travis picking and beginning lessons. He accepts students ages 8 years old and up.

Guitar Instructor: Steve Clark

Steve has been playing for over 17 years and studied at the Music Tech of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Steve teaches guitar (specializing in rock and heavy metal style) and accepts students age 10 years and up.

Chris has been playing guitar for over 22 years and currently teaches guitar in a wide range of styles.

Chris plays guitar with the band Johnny Wad and has also performed with local bands Black Dog, Eddie Haskel and Alliance in addition to numerous popular groups, including Lynard Skynard, Eddie Money, Cheap Trick, Goo Goo Dolls and Ted Nugent. Chris accepts students ages 9 years and up.

Guitar Instructor – Jennifer Leffel

Jennie has been playing for 30 years and currently plays as a solo artist. In the past she has performed with Dale Anderson, Yank (R & B) in Milwaukee and The Metros (80’s style band) also in Milwaukee.

Jennie has a certificate in Audio Engineering and Recording and currently attends Western International University studying Business Marketing. In addition to playing guitar, Jennie is also a songwriter and singer.

Jennie teaches acoustic as well as electric guitar, specializing in Folk, Rock and Blues styles and accepts students 6 years-old and up.

Guitar Instructor – Chuck Worm

Chuck teaches bass guitar in a wide range of styles such as Country, Bluegrass Jazz, Fusion, Rock, Alternative, Punk, Heavy Metal, Classical, Progressive, Latin and Southern Rock.

Playing guitar for over 29 years, Chuck currently performs with Symbolic Sight as well as in his own acoustic show. Chuck has also performed with Jimi VanZandt, Jax St., Bady Hers, Axl Halftime and Avoiding Tom.

Chuck has attended courses at Berkeley in 1996 and is currently a member of PMR (Professional Musicians Referral) and NMR (Musicians National Referral).

Guitar Instructor - Doc Rock (Mike Lijestrom)

Doc has been playing guitar for over 44 years and has been a professional musician since 1977 when he toured extensively until 1989.

Currently he plays guitar with Men Without Shame, Showcats, Lonesome Brothers and Medicine Men.

Doc teaches guitar, banjo, mandolin and bass guitar and accepts students ages 5 years old and up.

Dawn has played the piano for 40 years and has been teaching piano for over 30 years. She has been giving organ lessons for over 15 years. Dawn enjoys teaching students of all ages and accepts students age 5 to 80.

 

 

Piano Instructor: Amanda Wait

Amanda has been playing piano for over twenty years. She strives to create a fun and creative learning experience for her students.

Amanda incorporates many facets of music such as rhythm reading, theory, and composition into her lesson program. She believes this helps her students understand the fundamentals of music.

Amanda's goal for her students is to give them the ability to apply skills that they have learned in their music lessons to everyday life.

In addition to teaching piano Amanda also enjoys singing for weddings and at church. She is currently a member of the Northeast Wisconsin Piano Teachers Forum as well as the Music Teachers National Association.

Piano Instructor: Stella Tovbina

As a music teacher in Baku, Stella taught her students to feel, understand, and to perform music. While organizing many concerts, Stella helped her students demonstrate their ability to perform before an audience.

Stella has over 30 years experience teaching as well as music theory.

Stella is a member of NEWPTF (Northeast Wisconsin Piano Teachers Forum) and WMTA (Wisconsin Music Teachers Association).

Stella accepts students age 4 1/2 and up.

Piano Instructor: Jim Widiger

Originally from Baton Rouge, LA Jim has been playing the piano for over 45 years. Jim studied Piano Performance and Composition at LSU (Louisiana State University).

His background includes 3 years in the 2nd Air Force Band and over 15 years experience playing the clarinet.

Jim is currently the president of the Bay Lake Independent Music Teachers Association as well as an active member on the Administrative Council of the Wisconsin Music Teachers Association.

Jim teaches piano, specializing in classical style, to students as young as 5 years old.

Piano Instructor: Mike Garrity

Mike has been playing the piano for over 50 years and has been a professional musician since 1965. After college at the University of Colorado and UW-Madison, he toured extensively for many years in the Midwest and Southeastern parts of the country. He has performed with many local bands recently, including Tripp Dexter, Barbie, The Earthshakers, New Soul Experience, an Echo Canyon. He currently is performing as a solo piano player specializing in Jazz, Rock, and Blues.

Mike teaches piano to students of all ages and levels of experience from beginners to professional musicians. He teaches all styles as well, from the standard methodology series to Jazz Improvisation. His teaching approach includes involving the student in the choice of music, and creating a positive learning environment.

Vocal Instructor: Todd Buffa

Todd has been playing for over 35 years and is currently an active member of IAJE (International Association of Jazz Educators).

In addition to teaching private lessons, Todd has also taught Music Business, Song Writing and has given many vocal clinics at colleges across the United States. Todd teaches voice and jazz piano, specializing in popular style and accepts students age 12 years and up.

Drum Instructor – Craig Hanna

Craig has been playing for over 15 years and currently plays with the band Annex.

His experience includes performing in opening shows for the Goo Goo Dolls, Tonic, Seven Mary 3, Gin Blossoms, Spin Doctors, and has played and toured all over the United States.

Craig teaches all styles of drumming and accepts students ages 7 years and up.

Craig is endorsed by Attack Drumheads and by Hotsticks drumsticks.

Drum Instructor – Kevin Crocker
Green Bay

Kevin has been playing drums for over 40 years. Currently playing in the band Charisma, he has also performed with Bob Hope, Robert Goulet, and Red Skelton. Kevin has also studied with Saul Goodman of the New York Philharmonic, acted as Solo and Ensemble percussion judge and played in the Montreaux Jazz Festival.

Kevin is a member of the Green Bay Packer Band as well as a member of Local 205 Musicians Union.

Kevin has studied Music at UW-Green Bay as well as at the Institute for Advanced Musical Studies in Switzerland.

Kevin teaches drums to students ages 8 and up. Jazz and Rock style are his specialty.
